The West Point Board of Selectmen approved the 2016 budget for the city at its meeting Monday, a meeting that also saw the board vote to reduce its own salaries from $18,000 a year to $14,500 a year. Ward 4 Selectman Keith McBrayer said the board had been doing a comparison between the compensation of the West Point board to that of other cities of this size.
"It came to our attention that we needed to reduce our salary," McBrayer said.
