West Point man pleads guilty to robbery, more cases continued

A West Point man pleaded guilty to armed robbery during this week’s Clay County Circuit Court term. Tommy Oswalt, 45, of West Point, was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and grand larceny in connection with a January 2011 incident.
According to court documents, Oswalt was charged after striking another individual with a maul ax, then taking the victim’s vehicle and an undisclosed amount of money. He was previously convicted of two counts of uttering a forgery, burglary of a dwelling and grand larceny.
