Head Master Jimmy Nash and Sensei Albert Lee of West Point Karate School will host their 12th Annual Ultimate Champion Challenge on Saturday, May 28th. The event is an open martial art tournament, and it will be held in West Point at the Mary Holmes Gymnasium.
"It is an all day family event and we are hoping to get a lot of participation from the community," said Lee. "We have different schools from out of state, and some local karate schools who are coming to support. So, we are anticipating a big time event."
The tournament has different categories starting with the Grappling Event and ending with the Black Belt Tournament, which is the main event. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. Trophies and cash prizes will be given through the tournament to the winners of each event as well as door prizes to the spectators in attendance.
