A sweet day for Friends

All of the proceeds go to benefit the Bryan Public Library in the purchase of books and supplies. Friends also helps to continue keeping the Summer Reading Program for the children, one of the best in this area.

Friends of the Library held its 10th annual Bake Sale and Raffle at the Bryan Public Library, Thursday. The tables were weighted down with all sorts of baked goodies, to raise money for Friends.

"We want to thank everyone for their support of Friends of the Library," Betty Carpenter, a member of Friends, said. "This was the most successful bake sale ever. We were sold out by time to draw for the raffle."

All of the proceeds go to benefit the Bryan Public Library in the purchase of books and supplies. Friends also helps to continue keeping the Summer Reading Program for the children, one of the best in this area.
