Robinson will not seek re-election

Harmon "Robbie" Robinson has been the Mayor of West Point for more than seven years. During that time, West Point has seen its good years and some that were not so good. But in spite of everything going on around the world, the country, the state and right here, Robinson has never failed to do what he thought was best and right for everyone.
"I want everyone to know that I will not be running again," Robinson said. "I'm 72, and that isn't old when you are in good health. But I am not. I will retire and spend time with my family but I love this city and everyone in it. Serving as Chancery Clerk and Mayor has meant a lot to me. Being elected to those positions shows the public placed a lot of faith in me. It has been an honor to serve this city."
