Hundreds of people helped raise more than $15,000 Saturday night for the West Point-Clay County D.A.R.E. program during the eighth-annual Policeman’s Ball. The event was a chance for old and new friends to get together and catch up, show their support for the men and women in uniform, and enjoy to music of the PC Band. Students in the D.A.R.E. program, which is led by director and police officer Tara Sloan, also read their award-winning essays about what the program has meant to them.
