Jaden Craven and Tyler Oswalt get to represent the Oak Hill Raiders one more time on the football field.

It was announced after the season that Craven and Oswalt would be participating in the MAIS All-Star Game on December 6 at Jackson Prep. The contest kicks off at 2:30 p.m.

Oak Hill coach Chris Craven said being selected an All-Star is a highlight for any player as they wrap up a high school career.

“That’s a real big honor, especially that senior year to have that one extra game,” coach Craven said. “You get to go play again and be recognized.”

Jaden Craven and Oswalt spent a great deal of their time in the trenches so their contribution to the Raiders wasn’t often recognized.

Coach Craven said they were very valuable to Oak Hill even though they didn’t get to touch the football.

“If you are a ball carrier, ball thrower, ball catcher, ball interceptor or whatever it is, the skilled guys are the ones that touch the ball and that’s what all the eyes are on,” coach Craven said. “Both (Jaden Craven and Oswalt) played their hearts out this season. We are very proud of them.”
