Getting it right takes a little time and practice.

And now the West Point Police Department is almost ready and they want to get the community involved.

The department's lip-sync video recording is set for 1 p.m. Thursday at the Police Department.
"We are ready now, we've got everything in place," Assistant Police Chief Kennedy Meador said of the plans. "We want everyone to come join us and help us make this great."

Officers and staff are joining the nationwide "lip sync" phenomenon and want the public to participate.

The department will get together to lip-sync four songs -- the theme to the movie "Bad Boys," "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins, "Ain't No Stopping Us Now" by McFadden and Whitehead, and "We Are Family" by Sister Sledge.

It's "We Are Family" where police want the community to join in.

"Everyone knows that song so it should be easy for everyone. We want all the people we can," Meador said.
