Founding member retires from CrimeStoppers

Fred Bell is one of the founding members of Golden Triangle CrimeStoppers, and has worked within the organization for almost 30 years. Members of CrimeStoppers gathered Wednesday morning at the regular meeting of the group of current and retired law enforcement officers, to honor Bell upon his retirement from the organization.
"I came aboard CrimeStoppers probably 15 years ago," Eddie Scott, Clay County Sheriff, said. "Fred Bell was one of the first ones I got to have a conversation with. He broke it down and explained to me just exactly what CrimeStoppers was., and what my role was in it."
Scott said he didn't know what all it entailed, but Bell made sure he understood the reason he was there.
