Sophomore quarterback Cameron Dill had two passing touchdowns and added another on the ground, but the Oak Hill Academy Raiders were outscored by Central Holmes Academy at home 56-28 on Friday night.

Oak Hill coach Chris Craven said it was a matter of his team not taking care of the football and not slowing down the Central Holmes runners.

“I’m really proud of our guys,” Craven said. “We made some plays and done some things really well, but we didn’t the turnover battle and struggled stopping their run game.”

Jonah Caskey got the first touchdown for the Raiders on a 3-yard run, then Dill started his scoring run.

After getting a 5-yard run for points, Dill had a 12-yard touchdown pass to Manny Huffman and added a 17-yard scoring strike to Jamarcus Loyd.

It was not enough in the end, but Craven said it was not for a lack of effort.

“We played hard until the very end,” Craven said. “I’m very proud of them for that. They never quit.”

Oak Hill (2-7) will travel to Winona Christian next Friday.
