The Clay County Board of Supervisors began its meeting with the resolution from the City of West Point requesting assistance with a request for the Tombigbee River Water Management District.
The Board of Supervisors are the only entity who can request help from the TRWM.
"Tuesday night at the city board meeting, the need to clean out a ditch located behind Old Tibbee Road and East Church Hill Road around the old Bryan Foods Plant," Chancery Clerk, Amy Berry, said. "It needs to be cleaned out. It is my understanding that the city has done as much as they can. This is nothing new, we are all aware that there are large ditches that need cleaning and lining with white rock, they asked us to get the Tombigbee River Water Management District, to assist them with that."
