S.M.A.R.T. system opens route to regional airport

S.M.A.R.T. opened its new route to the Golden Triangle Regional Airport in Lowndes County with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday [Jan. 4] in the airport terminal. Funded through a partnership between Mississippi State University, the Mississippi Department of Transportation and the City of Starkville, the new route offers free shuttle rides to the regional airport from The Mill at MSU Conference Center, located on Russell Street.

Boykins to celebrate 50th anniversary Sunday August 16th

Mr. and Mrs. Larry “Butch” Boykin of West Point will celebrate their 50th anniversary, Sunday, August 16, 2015, at the Church of Christ in West Point.they were married August 20, 1965. Mrs. Boykin is the former Sandra Jennings. She is retired from the Clay County tax Collectors office. Mr. Boykin is retired from Babcox and Wilcox.
