James and Carie Partin moved to Clay County three years ago, and have fallen in love with the small town charm. They own a small homestead in the county and their own business, Homeland Baked Goods.
"We had drawn names for a dozen home-made Christmas cookies that we were going to deliver as Santa and Mrs. Claus," Carie Partin said. "We have the red Ford pickup, put a tree in the back and planned to deliver the cookies."
Partin has been aware of so many Christmas traditions that have been cancelled this year. She had been thinking about the children who have missed so many activities. Even taking photos with Santa has been impossible this year due to COVID-19. Keeping Santa healthy has been a top priority.
