It just wasn’t the Oak Hill Academy Raiders’ night when they faced Tupelo Christian Preparatory School on Friday night.

Despite quarterback Cameron Dill’s three-touchdown performance along with three takeaways from the defense, Oak Hill Academy fell in a 53-21 loss in the second week of the season.

The Eagles ran out of the gate early on when they scored on their first offensive play. Shortly after the second quarter began, quarterback Cameron Dill found receiver Manning Huffman for a 10-yard score to tie the ballgame. But the Eagles were able to answer by scoring 27 straight points.

Oak Hill Academy’s last two scores came late in the third quarter when Dill hit Branden Stevenson for a 53-yard score and Manning Huffman for a 90-yard score on back-to-back offensive drives for the Raiders. But it wasn’t enough to take down the Eagles.

Oak Hill Academy (0-2) will look to regroup next week when they travel to Decatur to face Newton County Academy (2-0) next Friday night.
