Eagles junior high track takes District

The junior high track team for the Hebron Christian Schools Eagles and coach William Cotton won big at the team's District meet on Friday, with both the girls and boys squads winning first.

JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS TRACK

Hebron Christian School 115, Columbus Christian 76

• Girls shot put: Mattie Parrish finished second with a throw of 26.7 feet and Juliana Moore was third.

• Girls discus throw: Mattie Parrish was third with a throw of 48.7 feet.

• Girls long jump: Katelyn Hill finished first with a jump of 11’ 5 1/2”, Abby Staton finished second

• Girls triple jump: Katelyn Hill finished first with a jump of 23’ 6 1/2”. Ainsley Bigham was second.

• Girls 300 meter hurdles: Lindsey Daniels placed first with a time of 66.7 seconds. Anna Borst finished second with a time of 72.09.

• Girls 100 meter hurdles: Elisha Carter placed first at 20.95 seconds. Juliana Moore was second with a time of 22.9 seconds.

• Girls 100 meter dash: Paityn Fulgham was first with a time of 14.15 seconds.

• Girls 1600 meter run: Anna Borst was placed 2nd with a time of eight minutes and 40 seconds.

• Girls 400 meter dash: Ainsley Bigham finished first with a time of 84.02 seconds. Mattie Parrish placed third.

• Girls 800 meter run: Juliana Moore won with a time of 3:52.00. Sarah Cantrell finished second.

• Girls 200 meter dash: Paityn Fulgham placed first with a time of 31.51 seconds and Destiny Smith was second. 

• Girls 1600 meter relay finished 1st with a time of 6:03. Relay members were Lindsey Daniels, Anna Borst, Ainsley Bigham, and Mattie Parrish. 

• Girls 3200 relay finished 2nd with a time of 15:22.01. Relay members were Anna Borst, Sarah Cliett, Sarah Cantrell, and Abby Staton. 

• Girls 400 relay finished 1st with a time of 62.59 seconds and the girls 800 relay finished 1st with a time of 2:16.00. The same girls ran both relays Elisha Carter, Katelyn Hill, Destiny Smith, and Paityn Fulgham.

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS TRACK

Hebron Christian School 113, Columbus Christian 107

• Long triple jump: Bradley Scott finished in second.

• Boys long jump: Braeden Triplett placed first for 15’6” and Bradley Scott finished second.

• Boys discus throw: John McGrew finished in first place for 75’ and Jackson Langley finished second.

• Boys shot put: John McGrew: first place for 34.8 feet, and Jackson Langley finished second. 

• Boys 3200 meter relay finished second Place with a time of 13:08.38. Relay members were Gunter Reed, Braiden Fulgham, Wesley Craft, and Dash Turman. 

• Boys 1600 meter relay finished first with a time of 4:41.58. Relay members: Braeden Triplett, Dash Turman, Bradley Scott, and Dylan Dupont. 

▪ Boys 800 relay finished first with a time of 1:49.22. Relay members: Jon Garret Lowe, Bradley Scott, Dylan Dupont, and Dash Turman. 

• Boys 400 meter relay finished first with a time of 52.01. Relay members: Bradley Scott, Dylan Dupont, Braeden Triplett, and Jon Garret Lowe. 

Hebron’s next meet is Wednesday, April 18, with Columbus Christian for its Varsity District Championship.
