Olive Branch Conquistadors

Olive Branch will try to rebound from an ugly loss in last week’s game against West Point, where the Conquistadors found themselves in a 34-0 hole at halftime en route to a 51-7 loss.

Olive Branch is 3-1 in the region and still has the second seed firmly within its grasp, as it holds the tiebreaker over Grenada. The Conquistadors will probably be pulling for the Chargers to pull off the upset over West Point tonight to throw a wrench in things and force a three-way tie in Region 1.

The Conquistadors will travel to Lake Cormorant to face the Gators tonight.

Grenada Chargers

Grenada still controls its own destiny in Region 1, but if the Chargers have any shot at winning the region, they must leave West Point with an upset win tonight. Grenada is 4-4 overall, but has won all but one of its region games, sitting at 3-1 in the region. A loss to the Green Wave will put the Chargers in third place.

Lafayette and Lake Cormorant

The Lafayette Commodores and the Lake Cormorant Gators are currently vying for fourth place in Region 1. Lafayette has the easier path to solidify the 4-spot as they will be facing the 1-7 Center Hill Mustangs tonight.

Lake Cormorant will go up against second-place Olive Branch, which will be a much tougher test than the Commodores face.

Lafayette and Lake Cormorant will play one another in the season finale

Lewisburg, Center Hill, and Saltillo

Lewisburg has an overall record of 5-3, but all three losses have come at the hands of region foes, leaving them tied with Center Hill for sixth place. In contrast, Center Hill has an overall record of 1-7, but its lone win came against Saltillo, who is 0-4 in Region 1, leaving the Tigers alone in eighth place.

Lewisburg holds the tiebreaker over Center Hill, as the Patriots came away with a 40-27 win when the two played last week.
